Problem: When you open a CAD assembly with multiple parts (.gz, .tar.gz, .tar, or .zip), nothing appears. This may be because the assembly package was created from the top-level folder of your model instead of from the folders and files inside of that folder. This resulted in an extra folder level in your packaged file.
Solution: Repackage the assembly by doing the following:
- Open the original folder that contains your assembly folders and files.
- Select all of the subfolders and files within the folder and package them according to the instructions of the application that you’re using.
For example, to package an assembly into a .zip file on Windows, right-click the selected files, select Send to, and choose Compressed (zipped) folder.
